At TRIBE, we believe in the power of minimalism and ultralight gear to transform your outdoor adventures. We know that every ounce counts on the trail, and the right gear can make all the difference in achieving peak performance and comfort.
The idea for TRIBE was born on the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT), where we (Candy Crush and Dice) met. We shared a passion for customizing our own gear—Candy Crush was already handcrafting her own pieces, and we quickly realized we could combine our skills to create something even bigger. A month after completing our PCT thru-hike, TRIBE ultralight gear was born.
Our gear is inspired by our own adventures and rigorously tested in the field. We don’t just make gear for the sake of it—we make gear we love and trust. Every TRIBE piece is handmade, hand-sewn, and carefully crafted with materials that meet the highest standards of performance.
At TRIBE, we’re not just making gear—we’re building a community of adventurers who value craftsmanship, sustainability, and the freedom that comes with ultralight travel.
TRIBE gear is designed for those who live for adventure—whether you're hiking, trail running, or pushing the limits of your outdoor pursuits. We choose materials like Alpha-Direct because it offers the best weight-to-performance ratio for insulation.
Meet the 'Tribe'
The "Tribe" members on the PCT Northern Terminus on the 18th of September 2024
The name “TRIBE” is inspired by the bonds we formed along the Pacific Crest Trail. Throughout our hike, we met countless people who left a lasting impact on our journey. One night, our tramily (trail family) of 10 gathered around a circle of logs after Sidequest caught some fish for dinner. A solo hiker approached, sat down with us, and asked, “What’s your tramily name?” We all looked around at each other, unsure how to respond. Then, in a lighthearted moment, Candy Crush blurted out, “THE TRIBE”—a playful reference to a conversation we’d had earlier about the unique skills each of us could contribute in a survival situation. From that moment on, our tramily was known as "The TRIBE," and that name became the inspiration for our company.
